(Beatty, Corzine, Cranford, Fisher, Givens, Harwell, Kaiser, Lanier, Lomax, McCorkle, Rudisill, Sherrill, Upright, Washington, Work)I recently realized that I had not added the footstone for Sadie Elizabeth Loftin Murray Lee to her webpage, so I took a short road-trip to Pisgah Methodist Church and snapped the photo. I also realized that I had a "5 Generation" newspaper article honoring Sadie's 90th birthday that I had never added to her page. I added a 1930 Census showing information about Sadie's second husband, Vernon. Check out Sadie's page to see these and other updates. [Sadie was the daughter of Alonzo Lester Loftin and Ida Lillian Setzer - and the granddaughter of William Alexander Loftin & Laura Rossie Cranford and Patrick Sylvanus Setzer & Margaret Ann Elizabeth Witherspoon]
One of my personal goals for 2012 is to work on my wife's (Carolyn Janet Weeks Loftin) family genealogy. Carolyn was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, and the four main branches of her family tree are Weeks, Eason, Griswold and Harrell. Griswold (1851 - 1910), Mattie Byrn Harrell Weeks (1880 - 1924), Furnifold Fernie Harrell (1826 - 1898), Ezekiel Perry Harrell (1800 - 18??), William Rufus King (1812 - 1880), Rebecca "Becca" Hocutt (1867 - 1952), Henderson Hocutt (1821 - 1880) and Theophilus Dodd (1806 - 1877).
