Cars, Cars,
Cars |
|
|
|
What is that strange love and fascination we
have with cars? Is it a rite of passage for men, a sign of
financial affluence - or just an appreciation for the beauty of
the design? |
|
|
|
|
|
Regardless, everyone seems to always want their photo taken in
from of someone's car! |

The Ford Model T
(colloquially known as the Tin Lizzie and the Flivver)
was an automobile produced by Henry Ford from 1908 through 1927.
The model T set 1908 as the historic year that the automobile
came into popular usage. It is generally regarded as the first
affordable automobile and the car which "put America on wheels".

I was recently visiting with Red & Peggy
Loftin Brotherton. When I showed him the above photo, he
said, "I had a car like that at one time. I bought it for
$20. I worked on it and got it running - eventually
selling it for $600. I thought I made a pretty good
profit, but if I had it today (2007) it would be worth $50,000!" |
