Daisy Pearl Loftin     Born: 06 Jun 1914, Catawba County, NC Died:  07 Jan 1994, Catawba County, NC     Ida Lillian Setzer Loftin, who was a twin herself, gave birth to her second set of twins on 06 Jun 1914 and named them Daisy Pearl Loftin and "Unnamed Infant Son" Loftin.  The little boy died 13 Jun 1914 at the age of 7 days old.  There are some that "suggest" that his name was Daniel Paul Loftin but Deannie Herman Hilton (daughter of Daisy Pearl) said that her mother never mentioned that her twin brother had ever been given a name.     According to Daisy Lemyre Sigmon, Daisy Pearl was named after two of Ida's sisters - Daisy McNeill Setzer Sigmon and Elizabeth Pearl Setzer Sigmon.     Many of Alonzo Lester Loftin & Ida's children attended Walden School on Harwell Rd., off of Lowrance Rd. in Catawba County.   Observer News Enterprise Newspaper photo from Walden School showed Thelma, Daisy Pearl, Elma and Allie Alonzo Loftin's brother, Lee, was living on Alley Rd., off of Sherrills Ford Rd. at the time.
