Oder Elmer Fink           Born: 20 Aug 1875, Iredell Co, NC Died:  20 Mar 1948, Rowan Co, NC     Oder "Otis" Elmer Fink was born 20 Aug 1875 in Iredell County, NC.  He was the son of Jacob Henry Fink (1840) and Catherine Martin (1840).                                   In 1880, Jacob Henry Fink & Catherine were raising a family of seven children in the Chambersburg Township of Iredell County, NC.  Oder (listed on the 1880 Census as "O. O. (William Oscar) Fink.  Oder's mother's last name was incorrectly listed as Catherine Moister, instead of Catherine Martin.  Oder was living at 528 Herman Street, Kannapolis, NC, at the time of his death and he was widowed.      Oder Elmer Fink's Death Certificate       Oder Elmer Fink's Obituary   O. E. Fink Passes Here Funeral Set For Today      O. E. Fink, 72, resident of Kannapolis since 1918, died suddenly at his home on 528 Herman Street Saturday afternoon after suffering a heart attack there about 1 o'clock.      Funeral servies will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at Whitley's Chapel on South Main Street, with the Rev. Cecil G. Hefner, Pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, of which the deceased was a member officiating.      The body will lie in state at the chapel from 10:30 o'clock this morning until the funeral hour.  Burial will be in Kannapolis Cemetery.      Mr. Fink was employed in Cannon Mills Plant 1 in the Finishing Department until a few years ago when his health failed.      Surviving are three sons: W. O. Fink of this city, Henry Fink of Landis and Russell Fink of Rockwell, Route 2; two daughters, Mrs. E. L. Lambert of Rockwell and Mrs. Joseph Moss of Kannapolis; one sister, Mrs. Emma Murray of Thomasville; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
