They were married in the family home near East Monbo. William (Weldon) was employed at the Troutman Chair company. There were no children, however, they received William Halton Loftin when he was about 6 months old and raised him as their son. William died 05 May 1952, the day before his 79th birthday in Troutman, Fallstown Township, Iredell County, NC as a result of a heart attack. Lillie died 20 Dec 1974 at Davis Hospital in Statesville, NC, from pancreatic cancer. She was 87 years old. Lillie May Loftin Brown's Death Certificate
Lillie was buried at the First United Methodist Church Cemetery in Troutman, NC.
