Oscar Litten and Tate Loftin were teaching at Springdale near
Mooresville in 1924. Both lived about 15 miles from school
and commuted each day. "The Landmark" writer commented that not
many years ago, anyone teaching that far from home was fortunate
to get home once a month. |

Troutman,
Jan 13 - The home of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Clodfelter in

trimmed in flowers and wore an exquisite corsage of
roses and Roman hyacinths.
Only a few relatives and friends were present.
The living room in which the vows were spoken was
attractively decorated in green and white and softly
lighted by white candles held in crystal candle sticks.
Immediately after the ceremony, the bride and groom

of the state.
