The 1900 Census shows Lillie and her husband Nelson Warren living in Millers Township, Alexander County, NC.  Lillie's widowed mother, Sarah/Sallie Caroline Fink Leslie (age 68), was living nearby. Her father had died before 1900.  Lillie and Warren have seven children listed on this 1900 Census: Lonnie P. (age 17), Roxie J. (age 15), Charlie (age 11), Jefferson (age 9), Eddie (age 7), Eller (age 6) and Burlie (age 2). The Census lists the birth month and year for each family member and shows that they, as well as their parents, were all born in North Carolina. Warren worked as a farmer on the family farm he owned "O", but he still owed a "M" (mortgage). Lonnie, Roxie and Charlie had attended school for 2 months thus far this year (from January to June 1900). The Census also shows that Lillie had given birth to 7 children and all 7 were still living.
