4. I've updated the 2019 Webpage for my (Curtis & Carolyn Weeks Loftin's) granddaughter Alexandria/Alex/Ali Seese. She's a beautiful girl, inside and out, and we couldn't be more proud of her. Photos include 2019 Prom and Volleyball.

5. Our family always does family photos after Thanksgiving lunch each year. I'm thankful that my son, Philip, has the ability to do such great photos for all of us. Here are a few from this year. To see all of them, go to a new page I've created called Family Studio Photos.

DNA & MISCELLANEOUS

1. The autosomal DNA test I took with Ancestry.com in 2016 has totally changed. One of the major changes was as follows: In 2016 the test indicated that I, Curtis Loftin, had <1% Great Britian descendancy. The updated date in 2019 now says that I have 64% England, Wales and Northwestern European descendancy. That's a major change. My first DNA Test, the Male DNA-Test from Family Tree DNA, is still valid, but the page I created from the data that I got from the Ancestry.com DNA Test in 2016 is incorrect. I have decided to keep the original 2016 Ancestry.com DNA TEST page as a reference but have created a 2019 Ancestry.com DNA TEST page that is more current and shows the updated results. Check out the 2019 updated page when you get a chance. Like with any geneology research, the DNA test pages will continue to be updated. Ancestry.com's DNA resultes changed again on 21 Oct 2019. Check back on the page often for the most current results.

2. I updated the Civil War page with some additional information.

1. I got a nice email from Michael Lawrence who shared photos of the 1908 Jones Family Reunion in Avenger, Texas. The original ancestor, James Jones, was first married to Elizabeth Robinson and secondly married to Isabella Caroline Loftin (the daughter of Thomas Loftin and sister of James Franklin Loftin). Thanks Lawrence for the photos and helping me correct some information about the Jones family. Those photos are posted on the page for Isabella Caroline Loftin Jones.

2. The Loftin Family Reunion was held on Sunday, May 19, 2019, 1:00 p.m., in the Family Life Center of Catawba Methodist Church for the descendants of William Alexander Loftin and Laura Rossie Cranford. The group was small but the food and fellowship was great.

DNA & MISCELLANEOUS

1. I updated the Revolutionary War page with some information about the popular Hymn, "Come Thou Almighty King", which was penned about 1757 by an unknown author. The Hymn was first sung during the Revolutionary Rar - to the tune of "God Save the King" (same tune as "My Country Tis of Thee").

* Willie Thelma Loftin and Callie Elma Loftin were twins - born on 31 May 1911 in Catawba County, North Carolina.
**Daisy Pearl Loftin and "Infant Son 2" Were twins - born on 06 Jun 1914. "Infant Son 2" only lived a few days before his death.
*** The Catawba County Birth Index for this child, "Infant Son 33, shows that he was born 22 Oct 1922 (the same day and month as his older brother Oscar).  This child's Death Certificate shows that he died 27 Oct 1922 and that he lived for 1 day and 2 hours - so it's more likely that the child was born on 26 Oct 1922 - instead of 22 Oct 1922 as the Birth Index shows.  Cause of death was "malformation of upper air passage".
**** It's possible that this last "Infant Son" of Alonzo and Ida was born in 1927.  It is also possible that the grave marker for this "Infant Son" born in 1928 was incorrectly dated and should have been for the 1922 "Infant Son".
