The 1900 Gaston County, NC, Census shows a 5-year-old Grady Loftin living with his parents, siblings and uncle, Vardrey Forney Loftin, in Gastonia.  The Census states that Grady was born January 1895, although other records (including his World War I and World War II Draft Registration Cards) list his birth date as 19 Jan 1893.  In that case, Grady would have actually been 7-years-old at the time of the 1900 Census.  The Census also incorrectly lists Alonzo & Octa's son, Lawrence, as a "daughter" and "F/Female".
