Died: 26 Nov 1941Leander Densford Lutz Witherspoon was the eighth child born to Miles Rankin Witherspoon and Sarah "Sallie" Elizabeth Aderholdt. Denford, or "Dense", was born 11 Nov 1861 in Catawba County, NC.
The 1870 Catawba County Census show the Witherspoon family living in the Hamilton Township of Catawba Station, NC. Miles and Sarah had six children: John Hart, Thomas Aderholdt, David Hoyle, Jacob Napoleon, Emanuel Alexander and Lensford Densford. Densford was 8 years old. 1870 Catawba County, NC Census
