They had eight children: William, George, Eli, Noah, Katherine, Mary, Delilah and Lydia. As you will notice, George is counted on this Census twice because of the overlapping ages. William died 08 Nov 1824 in Newton, Lincoln County, North Carolina. Mary Herman Deal  died 13 Aug 1845 in Newton, Catawba County (what had been Lincoln County), North Carolina.
