Poppi: "Yes, I know that I'm her grandfather, but I don't think I'ver ever seen a prettier girl
- inside and out - just like her mama, Beth, and sister, Savanna. She's also sweet and kind. The world needs a lot more kindness!"Alex met Josh Hertzler while she was working at Chick-Fil-A in Hickory and it didn't take long before friendship turned to romance 
Josh had a friend who had a photography project to complete so he asked Alex if she would pose for him - she did - and included Josh, too. 
Alex's smile and face can light up a room when she enters. 
Josh eventually gave up his job at Chick-FIl-A and the couple continued to date as he pursued a career in "welding".
Eventually, however, the couple broke up - tears on both side - but they're both still young. When GOD closes a door, He opens another one.September 2021
Another Year at College
In September 2021, Ali continued with her second year at Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. She still plans to be a teacher and is even working as a tutor at one of the local elementary schools. This year she is taking classes on camput since LR has relaxed some of their Covid-19 restrictions. She was, however, "required" to have the Covid Vaccine before she could take classes - a "requirement" that didn't give her the option to choose or refuse the vaccine. October 2021
