Savanna started dancing at Krista Whitener's Academy Of Dance when she was three years old. These photos of Savanna from 03 Aug 2004, show her group of girls dancing in Claremont, NC. She was four years old at the time. In April 2012, Savanna had just turned twelve and was finishing up her 6th grade year at Startown Elementary School in Newton, NC. Her mother, Beth, got a teaching job at Claremont Elementary School and it was decided that Savanna would go to River Bend Middle School and thus be able to ride with her mother to work, instead of Maiden Middle School as she would have done being a student at Startown Elementary. Savanna excelled in the seventh grade at River Bend, but she made the decision that 2012 would be her last year to participate in dance. After almost 10 years of dance classes, Savanna decided to hang up her ballet shoes.
