Ceaphas Beattie Robinson

Born: 30 Apr 1884, Catawba County, NC
Died: 07 Jul 1976, Catawba County, NC

Ceaphas Beattie Robinson was the seventh child born to Michael Pinkney Robinson and Mary Louise Barkley.  Ceaphas was born 30 Apr 1884 in Catawba County, NC.

There are several spellings for both his first and middle names - including Cephas, Cephus, Ceaphas, Cephias, Cefhas - Beattie, Beatty, etc.  I have chosen to use "Ceaphas Beattie Robinson" on this website since that is the way it was listed on his WW1 Draft Registration Card and Marriage License and the way he signed his name on his Marriage License.  This spelling appears to be the most common spelling that he used - at a time and place where he would have had input into the way he spelled it.

The 1900 Census shows Pinkney and Mary living in the Mountain Creek Township of Catawba County, NC.  Ceaphas Beattie Robinson is 16 years old.  The Census shows Cephas' birth as April 1884.
