Lettie Izez Loftin was born 17 June 1888. She was the first child born to Alonzo Kelly "A.K." Loftin and Sara Ida Otta (Octa) Sigmon.
This photo was taken 9 May 1890, just before her second birthday, and was presented to R. J. Lowrance who lived in Catawba, North Carolina.
Lettie had five siblings: Lawrence K. Loftin, Grady Adams Loftin, Claude Loftin, Eldridge Leroy Loftin and Margorie Loftin.Lettie's paternal Grandparents were Langdon Loftin (b. 26 Feb 1826) and Sena "Cenie" Link.
Lettie's paternal Great-Grandparents were Eldridge Edward Loftin and Mary Sherrill.
Her paternal Great-Great-Grandparents were John Loftin (b. 29 Nov 1740) and Martha Lanier.A special thanks to Helen Rhyne for the photo of Lettie.
