Johannes Heinrich Pabst/Bapst

Born: Abt. 1697, Waldmohr, Germany
Christened: 16 Apr 1713, Evangelical Reform Church, Rieschweiler, Germany
Died:  Abt. 1763, Windsor, Berks County, PA

Johannes Heinrich Pabst/Bapst was the youngest child born to Abraham "the Younger" Pabst/Bapst and Maria Magdalene Hofer.  He was born in 1697, being baptized 09 Aug 1697 in Waldmohr, Germany.  Heinrich, as he is commonly referred to, was confirmed on 16 April 1713 at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Rieschweiler, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

Heinrich married Gertrud Kieffer about 1725 in Germany.  She was the daughter of Johannes Kieffer and was born about 1698 in Germany.

Heinrich and Gertrud had three children.

Anna Eva Pabst 1735 1817 1. John Hill
2. Jacob Muller

Even though they lived in Froeschen, the first two children were baptized at the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Thaleischweiler.  This was due to the fact that there was no church in Froeschen and the probability that Gertrue had been a member of the Lutheran rather than the Reformed faith.

Eventually the family would immigrate from Germany to Pennsylvania in 1632.  It is believed the name was anglicized on board ship to Bobst.  The family settled in Windsor Township, Berks County, PA.

Gertrud died in 1735.  After her death, Heinrich married Christina (Unknown) and had six more children.

The proper name for Annweiler is: Annweiler am Trifels. In 1664 it was part of the Duchy of Zwiebruecken. From the mid-1700s to 1918 it was part of Bavaria. Today it is part of Rheinland-Pfalz. Using this will help folks find it on current maps. His marriage location is also currently in Rheinland-Pfalz. His death place is Froeschen, Rheinland-Pfalz. He died on 7 January 1734. He was buried on 8 January 1734. His burial place is St. Cyriakus Chapel, Meisenbach,
