John David Fink was the fifth child born to David Alexander Fink and Margaret Elizabeth Baker.  He was born 16 Jan 1880 in Rowan County, NC.

The 1880 Rowan County Census shows David Alexander and Margaret Elizabeth living on the family farm with five children.  John David is shown on the Census but is simply listed as "Infant" and he was 5 months old.

The 1900 Rowan County Census shows that only four of David & Margaret's children were still living on the family farm.  John David's age was 20 and he was listed as working as a "Clerk".  His birthday was listed as Jan 1880.

In 1930, John David was listed as the head of the family unit of six.  Living with him were his sister Bettie (Elizabeth) and Ellen (widow of William Thomas Caton) and Ellen's three children.  John David's age was 50. 

 

John David's brother Lucas Monroe died 18 Jun 1929, but Lucas's wife was living nearby John David & Elizabeth with her son Arthur Burns Fink, her cousin Viola Williams, her brother and sister-in-law Jasper and Nettie Williams.

John David Fink never married.  His sister Margaret Elizabeth Susana Fink died 20 Oct 1945.  He died 24 Jul 1947 in Rowan County from a heart attack.  He was 67 years old.  He was buried at Providence Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rowan County, NC.
