The Aviators
Stilt-Butterflies

One of our favorite acts during our March 2000 Disney World vacation was "The Aviators". Their act was very similar to "Cirikli" whom we had seen during our 1997 Disney World vacation but were no longer under contract in 2000. The Aviators were composed of three stilt butterfly characters and a leader who led them around. The act had a steam-punk theme long before I even knew what steam-punk was.

The performance began at the gates of the Morocco Pavillion

Each butterfly had three different sets of wings
(1) A pair of metallic wings, (2) a pair of red and black wings, and (3) a pair of brightly colored wings

Carolyn snaps a few photos with our digital camera

There were two male butterflies and one female butterfly

The Leader's steam-punk car was definitely one of the more interesting aspects of the act
