The preceding Christening record is a copy of the microfiche in the Devon Record Office in Exeter. Not only is the handwriting difficult to read but this record is the most faintly written one on the page; only the name "Marye" is really dark enough to identify - just below the blemish half-way down. William married Margery Upright about 1658 in Ermington, Devon, England.
Margery was born 09 Aug 1635 in Modbury, Devon, Eng. She was the daughter of Richard Upright and Elizabeth Pulliblanke. William and Margery had at least five children.
