The Sherrill Family
Name Origin: England
Sherrill is one of the many new names that came to England following the Norman Conquest of 1066. The Sherrill family lived in Cornwall. Their name, however, is a reference to Serlo, Normandy, the family's place of residence prior to the Norman Conquest of England in 1066.
The Sherrill Family tree merges with both the Loftin and the Johnson Family trees.
James Loftin married Susannah Sherrill, the daughter of Adam Sherrill (1731 - 1787) and granddaughter of Adam "The Pioneer" Sherrill (1697 - 1774).
Pinkney C. Johnson married Levina C. Sherrill, the daughter of Alfred M. Sherrill. Levina was the daughter of Alfred M. Sherrill, the Great Granddaughter of Uriah Sherrill, the Great Great Grandaughter of Adam "The Pioneer" Sherrill (1697 - 1774).
