Daisy Pearl miscarried 3 times before her second child was born.  There was an 11 1/2 year wait between Ted's birth and Deanie's.

Ted was killed in an automobile accident while home on leave from the military.  Ted was 20-years-old at the time.

Daisy Pearl's sister, Frances Loftin Cook said, "We had family get-togethers every year for Mama's birthday.  Ted always liked my potato salad because I put cucumbers in it."
