Rebecca Hocutt     Born: May 1867, Johnston County, NC Died: 07 May 1952, Zebulon, NC R-1, Johnston County, NC   Rebecca "Becca" Hocutt was born May 1867 and was the daughter of Henderson Hocutt (1821 - 1880) and Sileth A. "Gillie" Dodd.   Henderson and Gillie Hocutt had at least seven children.  Henderson had been married previously to Rebecca Tisdale and had at least 8 children from that marriage.   Children of Henderson Hocutt & Sileth A. Hollimon (transcribes on the Census originally as "James") on 21 Mar 1869 in Johnston County, NC, and the Census shows them with a daughter Sarah E. (age 6 months).   I had seen this Census previously and had decided it wasn't his.  His age is listed incorrectly and someone transcribed the name below his as "Suelly" instead of Gillie.   Henderson and Gillie have 8 of his/their children living with them.  The children listed on p. 45 of the Nash County Census were: [Children by Henderson Hocutt and Rebecca Tisdale] Samuel (age 22), Polly (age 19 - even though on the Census it looks like "40"), Thomas (age 16 - listed on the Census as 18) and Lou Ella (name written as "Louoler" on the Census, age 15).     [Children by Henderson Hocutt and Gillie Dodd] J. C. R. (actually John Calvin Breckenrige - age 10), Creacy Jane (age 8), Robert E. Griswold family living in the Upper O'Neals Township of Johnston County, NC.  William's age is listed as 59 and Rebecca's age is listed as 40.  Children still living with the family were Maggie (age 20), Ida (age 18), Kattie (age 14), Mattie May (age 11), David Arnold (age 6, Ethel (age 5) and Carl (age 2).   1910 Johnston County, NC, Census   Name Relation Sex Race Age S M W Age 1st Md.
