Sarah (Sallie) Catherine Fink was born 05 Sep 1831 in Iredell County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Daniel Fink (b. Abt. 1806 in NC) and Elizabeth Broyer.
The 1850 Iredell County Census shows the Daniel Fink family. Sarah is listed as "Sally C." and she is 19 years old at the time.

The 1880 Iredell County Census shows that Daniel, age 74, was married to Elizabeth, but this was undoubtedly a second wife, also named Elizabeth. She was considerably younger than Daniel. There were two step-children living with the family named John and Jane Benfield, indicating that Elizabeth had been married to an (Unknown) Benfield before marrying Daniel Fink.

Sarah was 83 years old and living in Coddle Township, Mooresville, Iredell County, NC. It lists her father as Daniel Fink and mother as Elizabeth Brover/Broyer/Beaver. According to Census information, Sarah's birthdate had been estimated as 1831. The death certificate shows her date of birth as 05 Sep 1831. Sarah died on 13 Jun 1915 from colitis (inflammation of the large intestine). They also list "old age". The death certificate further states that she was "illiterate".
