M (Mahala Catherine Miller).  Their were six children living in the house.  Walter and Mahala has one daughter, listed on the census as F.E.                             Name Birth Date Death Date Spouse Frances Elizabeth Douglas 05 Mar 1861 3 Jul 1926 Jacob Hedrick Goble                                                                                                                 Walter and Mahala lived in a place called Jake Neck on the Catawba River, just off of Stewart Rock Road.  Their home was located near the end and to the right.  There was a family cemetery where Walter, Susan and Mahala are buried, but it was either destroyed by loggers or is now under water.  There are new homes for River Walk currently on this property.                                                                                      If you have photos are additional information on J.
